Office 365 Education Download Word Onto My Mac

Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise is a subscription-based service that provides current faculty, students and staff with the latest versions of Microsoft Office for use on their PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones at no cost. Office Online apps are included and lets users open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or OneNote documents in a web browser.

Microsoft Office 365 for Mac: Get Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others in App Store You can get any of the Office 365 apps in the Mac App Store and use your current subscription with them.

The Office 2016 includes the following apps for your Windows computer: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Skype for Business, OneDrive for Business

Note: Starting in March 2020, OneNote 2016 will continue to be installed with Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise on Windows 10 from the Office Portal. This follows Microsoft's previous announcement that mainstream support for OneNote 2016 would end in October 2020, which is no longer the case (refer to Frequently Asked Questions about OneNote). On computers running Windows 10, the new OneNote for Windows 10 app is the recommended version of OneNote. This version is pre-installed on most editions of Windows 10 and can be found by clicking OneNote on the Windows Start menu, but OneNote for Windows 10 is also available in the Microsoft Store. Download, Install and Activate Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise on Windows

Before you begin the installation, check the system requirements for your machine.

All users, including those whose email and calendar accounts have remained on-premise, should follow these instructions

  1. Log into the Office Portal
    • Enter your Queen's NetID@queensu.ca email address. (Note: Do not use your email alias here. It will only work for your NetID@queensu.caemail address)
    • Click the Next button
  1. The Queen's Microsoft login page will open
    • Enter your NetID Password
    • Click the Sign In button
  1. The Software tab will open
    • Select Office from the left navigation menu
    • From here you can install the latest version of Office (32-bit and 64-bit available)
    • You can Review the system requirements before you begin the install
    • Click the Install button
    • Once the download is complete go to the Install Microsoft Office on Windows section below

Install and Activate Office on Windows

  1. The Just a few more steps... screen will open
    • This screen shows the steps involved - Click Run, Say 'yes', Stay online
    • Click Run to begin the download
    • Click the Close button
    • The Office software is downloading to your computer.
  1. Office will begin installing
    1. The Getting Things ready... screen will open
      • This is an introductory screen to let you know your installation has begun
  1. The Installing Office screen will open
    • This screen shows the progress of the installation
  1. Once the installation is complete click the Close button

Activate Office on Windows

  1. Before you can use Office you will need to activate it.
    • Open the Start icon or press the Windows logo key on your keyboard
    • Locate the Microsoft Outlook app (or any of the other Office apps)
    • Open the app
  1. The Outlook activation screen will open
    • Enter your Queen's NetID@queensu.ca email address. (Note: Do not use your email alias here. It will only work for your NetID@queensu.ca email address)
    • Click the Connect button
  1. The Enter password page will open
    • Enter your NetID Password
    • Click the Sign In button

  1. The Use this account everywhere on your device screen will open
    • Selecting this checkbox will connect your account across all Office applications
    • Click the Yes button
  1. The activation will be completed and the You're All Set screen will be displayed
    • Click the Done button

My Office 365 Download Free

  1. Your account has been successfully added
    • You can add another email address from here
    • You can choose to set up Outlook Mobile on your phone from here
    • Click the Done button
  1. Outlook will re-open
  1. Office is ready to use.
    • Note: Your subscription to Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise needs to renew or else it will go into low functionality mode. As long as the computer can connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days, Office remains fully functional.
